04 The Senses of Molise
This unique experience has been specially designed for blind and visually impaired guests
placing the focus on discovering the landscape through sound, touch, scent, atmosphere, and emotion.
Instead of visual impressions, this journey invites participants to experience Molise through the many sensory details that define the region: the sound of the sea and flowing rivers, the wind moving through olive trees and grasses, birds hidden within the hills, distant church bells, and the quiet rhythm of nature itself.
Along the route, guests are encouraged to touch and explore the materials that shape this ancient landscape — warm stone walls, rough rocks, old wood, olive trees, earth, sand, water, wild herbs, and traditional natural materials that have been part of life here for generations.
Different scents accompany the journey: Mediterranean plants, forests, sea air, fresh earth, herbs, flowers, and local products create a rich sensory atmosphere that allows the landscape to be experienced in a deeply personal and immersive way.
